Technology can be frightening. In my efforts to build a photoblog for my son, I inadvertently deleted the main "index" page of my WordPress installation and inserted one from his PixelPost platform. This totally confused WordPress (and some of you who got a blank white screen), but I was oblivious until Tom Macklin e-mailed me ("Thanks, buddy!") and asked what happened to my blog.
My heart skipped a couple of beats as I thought back to last September when I lost my entire blog. Anyway, when I pulled up the index page, I realized right away that it was not WordPress-kosher, so then I scrambled to the WordPress.org website and (whew!) found the exact version I had installed—those guys are really on the ball—replaced the file with the proper one and I'm back in business.
I've been a little slow on the blogging lately 'cause I'm spending all my nights and weekends building new websites for people. Take a peek, if you like, at the new site I have developed for Harvest Books & Crafts, managed by my wife, Sheri. It's going to be a few more days before the photoblog site is up and running, but I'll give you a "heads up" for that URL (for those that are interested).
It's glad to be back, even though I didn't know I was missing.
glad to be of help! Love the site… keep up the good work!
