Welsh accent? LOL I'm a Miss 'sippi boy. Now you've got me wondering if you've ever really read my blog. :)

I use Audacity (free Open Source software) or Audio Hijack Pro (Mac only) to capture the voice, then I import that file into Garageband (Mac only) to mix it with the background music or special effects.

Once the podcast has been created, you can upload it to a free hosting provider like Podomatic or MyPodcast or GCast, then provide a URL link (similar to a YouTube link) in your blog article. That's the easy route.

But I prefer to upload the file, using an FTP utility, to my WordPress installation. Then I have a plug-in called "Audio Player" that allows me to reference the new file within a set of brackets inside a blog post: it then knows to go look for the filename and play the MP3 in the embedded player (which can be color coordinated to match your layout).

That last paragraph may be way over your head, Guy. I don't know if you've ever heard of FTP or how that works.

Good to put a voice to the face! Somehow I was expecting more of a Welsh accent, but was refreshed to hear someone instead 'talkin' like us do' You have a great blog. Keep up the good work.

BTW, where do you get the podcast software to post audio files on your blog? I have been wanting to do so myself, but can't seem to find the right site to help.
