I think many ‘serious’ historians and theolgians sit in an ivory tower and rather look down on historical fiction or Christian historical fiction. Having originally written a biography of Queen Victoria’s granddaughter, St. Elizabeth Feodorovna, I found historians to be fairly complimentary. When I developed it into a novel to reach a wider readership and make this Grand Duchess better known, some historians were rather scathing of the idea. Oh well, never mind!
